How much data can I store in my free account?
You can store up to 5 GB of data in the free account and try out all the features of IDrive.
You can also increase your free storage space with our referral system,
login to your account and click on 'Refer and get more space'
button. The two options available are:
Invite by email (Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo etc.)
Share the benefits of IDrive with your contacts and get an additional 10 GB free backup space.
Share the link on Facebook or Twitter
Use the customized IDrive link generated specific to you and share on Facebook or Twitter. For every signup via this link, get 1 GB of additional free backup space (up to a limit of 50 GB).
For even more backup space, you can always upgrade to the IDrive Pro plan anytime. |
What is the difference between the IDrive Pro Personal, Family Pack and Business accounts?
IDrive Pro Personal is for individuals with large backup needs; plans start at $4.95 / month for 150 GB.
IDrive Pro - Family Pack lets you backup unlimited computers in parallel to a single 500 GB IDrive account; no restriction to the amount of data that can be backed up from a particular machine.
IDrive Pro Business is for small
and medium businesses; plans start at $9.95 / month
for 100 GB of data and go up to 1000 GB storage. There
are no restrictions to the number of computers that can
be backed up to a single account. You can add additional
accounts up to 100 and manage under a single administrative

How do I upgrade from a free account to a paid account / higher plan?
You can upgrade your account from the Basic to the Pro Plan or from a monthly or yearly Pro Plan to a higher plan. To upgrade, login to your IDrive account and click the 'Upgrade Account' button. Select the plan of your choice and click the 'Upgrade Now' button. |
Do I just pay the difference for this month if I upgrade my plan?
Yes, you need to pay the difference amount between the plans on a pro-rated basis. |
