What is the IDrive web client?

The IDrive web client helps you view, search and restore files backed up to your account, directly from the web. more

How do I access files in my IDrive account from any location?

You can use the Web-Manager interface to access your files from any location. Login with your IDrive account username and password, the files / folders that are backed up to your account are listed. You can directly download any file to your local machine.

You can also perform file / folder operations like create folder, upload, share, unshare, rename, copy, move and delete.

Note: If you have opted for the private encryption key, you will be prompted to enter it once in a session.

How do I update my profile?

Login to your account via the web and click 'My Account'. Select 'Edit Profile' to change your name, password and email address.

What is Image Gallery?

Image Gallery displays all images backed up to your IDrive account.

Login to your IDrive account at http://www.idrive.com and click 'Image Gallery'. Your image files are displayed as thumbnails. Click the thumbnails to view images in actual size or as a slideshow. Also, there are options to view the next and previous images. Click the 'Play' button if you want to see the images as an automated slide show. Click the 'Back' button to go back to the Image Gallery page.

What are Additional Accounts?

An Additional Account is just like a regular IDrive account. Any paid IDrive subscriber can create it. Useful for small businesses, one can create and manage multiple Additional Accounts from a single administrative login.

The charges are the same as the Pro plans and billed to the credit card used for registering the main IDrive account.

Note: Family pack users cannot create Additional Accounts.

How do I create and manage Additional Accounts?

Login to your IDrive account and click the 'Additional Accounts' icon. On the page that is displayed, click the 'Create Additional Accounts' button and fill up the details.

Also, the main account holder can edit the profile details of any Additional Account, can upgrade plans, view the status of data backups, and cancel the Additional Account(s).

Can I view the billing and invoice information related to my Additional Account(s)?

Yes, you can view the billing and invoice information of the additional accounts.

Steps:

1. Login to your IDrive account, go to 'My Account' and click the 'Billing Report'. The 'IDrive Account Receipt / Transaction Summary' page will open.

2. Choose 'View Additional Accounts Transaction' to view the transaction summary.

3. To see the invoice of each transaction, select 'Invoice' on 'IDrive - Additional Accounts Transaction Summary' page.

I have canceled my main IDrive account. Do my additional accounts get canceled as well?

No. You can choose the option to cancel only the main IDrive account or along with your additional accounts. If you do not wish to cancel the additional accounts, they will operate as an individual IDrive accounts.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Login to your IDrive account via any browser and click My Account > Cancel Account. Enter the details in the form that is displayed. You will receive an email confirming the cancelation of your account.

Is it possible to manage my Backup set and schedule backup jobs via the web interface?

Yes. You can manage your Backup set, schedule backup jobs and view detailed logs via the IDrive web interface using any web browser.

For this, login to your account via any browser and click the 'Remote Manage' icon, from where you can edit the contents of your Backup set.

To edit the day and time of the scheduled backup of the Backup set, click the 'Schedule Manager' button.

You can also view the logs of the scheduled backup jobs performed by the IDrive application.

What is the Backup Status Report?

Web-Manager's 'Backup Status Report' summarizes the status of the scheduled backups for your IDrive account. By default, a report for the last seven days is displayed

How do I generate the Activity Log Report?

The Activity Log feature provides the history of the activities performed in your IDrive account in a browser session. You can track login / logout activities, file and folder operations like upload, download, share, etc. The date and time of the activity and the IP address from where the activity originated is also listed.

To generate an activity report, click on the 'Activity Log Report' icon. Select the start and end date for which you want to generate the report and click 'Generate Report'.

What are Events?

IDrive maintains a list of all activities like Upload, Download, Rename, Delete etc., performed in your account using the IDrive application or Web browser.

1. Login to your IDrive account via any browser.

2. Click the 'Backup Status Report' tab on the menu.

3. Click the 'Events' button. By default, all activities performed in the current month are displayed.

4. You can choose the month for which you want to view the activities.

5. View and Download details of an activity performed, to your local computer.

How do I restore a previous version of my backed up file via the web?

To restore previous version of a file via the web:

1. Login to your IDrive account.

2. On the Web-Manager main page click the 'Version' icon alongside the file that you wish to restore.

3. The 'Versions' screen is displayed. Select the desired version and click on 'Download’.

4. Choose the destination in your local computer to restore.

Is it possible to restore the files that are accidentally deleted from my IDrive account via the web?

Yes. All files deleted from your account will be moved to Trash. You can either move your files to the original location in your IDrive account or restore them to your local computer. The files present in Trash will automatically get deleted after a 30 day period.

To restore / move your files from Trash, follow these steps:

1. Login to your IDrive account and click the 'View Trash' icon. The files available in Trash are listed with the latest version.

2. Select the check box and click the 'Put Back' button to move the files to the original location in your IDrive account. OR restore the files to the desired location in your local computer. You can also delete a file permanently from Trash, if it is no longer required.
