What do our warranties usually cover?
|
| Our limited warranties cover defects in material or workmanship in new Pro Softnet Corporation products. Only consumers purchasing Pro Softnet Corporation products from authorized Pro Softnet Corporation retailers or resellers may obtain coverage under our limited warranties. Do refer to the limited consumer warranty that accompanied your product for the specific warranty terms that apply to your product. |

How long does the coverage last?

| Our warranty period is two (2) years from the documented date of purchase. |

What does our warranty not cover?
|
| Our warranties do not cover any problem that is caused by (a) commercial use; accident; abuse; neglect; shock; electrostatic discharge; heat or humidity beyond product specifications; improper installation; operation; maintenance or modification; or (b) any misuse contrary to the instructions in the user manual; or (c) lost passwords; or (d) malfunctions caused by other equipment. Our limited warranties are void if a product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including removal of any component or external cover). Our warranties do not cover data loss - back up the contents of your drive to a separate storage medium on a regular basis. Also, consequential damages; incidental damages; and costs related to data recovery, removal and installation are not recoverable under our warranties. |

How to request warranty service?
|
| Pro Softnet Corporation will not provide any warranty coverage unless
claims are made in compliance with all terms of the controlling
warranty statement included with your Pro Softnet Corporation product
and you follow proper return procedure. To request warranty service, contact
the Pro Softnet Corporation Technical Support Dept for more information
regarding customer support within your jurisdiction. You also may also
access the Pro Softnet Corporation Customer Service Directory by calling
1-866-748-0555 ext 3 (Monday thru Friday, 6-00 AM to 6-00 PM PST) from
within USA or 1-818-251-4245 ext 3 from outside USA. Once an authorized
service center or Pro Softnet Corporation determines that a repair or
replacement is required, you will be prompted for your name, address,
phone number, email, and product serial number and then issued a Return
Order Number to use when returning product to Pro Softnet Corporation.
Product returned to Pro Softnet Corporation must be properly packaged
in its original packaging (or packaging providing the product with protection
equivalent to the original packaging) and sent, with the postage charges
prepaid via a shipping method that provides for tracking of your package,
to the address provided when you received your Return Order Number. In
addition to regular back-ups, if possible, data should be backed up before
sending a drive to Pro Softnet Corporation for repair, because products
sent to Pro Softnet Corporation or an authorized service provider will
not be returned. |

What will Pro Softnet Corporation do?
|
| If Pro Softnet Corporation authorizes a product to be returned to Pro Softnet Corporation or an authorized service provider, Pro Softnet Corporation will replace the drive without charge with a functionally equivalent replacement product. Pro Softnet Corporation may replace your product with a product that was previously used, repaired and tested to meet Pro Softnet Corporation specifications. Pro Softnet Corporation will pay to ship the replacement drive to you. By sending product for replacement, ownership of the original product will be transferred to Pro Softnet Corporation. Pro Softnet Corporation will not return original drives to consumers. Data recovery is not covered under this warranty and is not part of the repair or exchange process. Pro Softnet Corporation warrants that repaired or replaced products are covered for the greater of either the remainder of the original product warranty or 90 days. |

How does state law apply?
|
The laws of the State of California, USA, govern our warranties. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Our warranties do not affect any additional rights consumers have under laws in their jurisdictions governing the sale of consumer goods, including, without limitation, national laws implementing EC Directive 44/99/EC. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations or exclusions in our warranty statements may not apply.
